NIGERIA’S PATH TO SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE 2060 NET ZERO GOAL: THE ROLE OF POLICY, REGULATION, AND CLIMATE ACTION STRATEGY
Striking a balance between usage and wastage is much like tending to an indoor plant. The supply of sunlight and water are necessities for the plant’s growth but an excess of either would result in wilted leaves and stunted growth. This responsibility of tending to a plant requires a keen sense of balance and moderation. Similarly, when considering the environment, there is an ostensible contrast between the charge to exploit our planet’s natural resources for human development and the need to conserve these resources to mitigate the effects of climate change.
